Why pessimistic? What have Sony got to be pessimistic about? They're selling the amount of consoles they targeted, making the money they expect to and are about to release the Slim, Neo and PSVR. Watch the E3 conference when Shawn Layden mentioned there are 40m PS4s out there capable of using PSVR. When he got a cheer from the audience for the 'number' he faltered slightly and said rather embarrassingly 'well ... thanks for that.'
People need to stop thinking Sony are PS Fanboys, they're a business.
The PS5 Exists.
