Sure, but that doesn't mean I can't vote based on my region. I've regularly voted for games that release later in Europe, as have other people. For example, this results thread from February 2014 that has Ys: Memories of Celceta, a game which released in December 2013 in NA. Don't go pushing your "NA = world" supremacy nonsense on me!
(If it's really an issue, then Axum can tell me and the guy who voted for ToCS2 that our votes don't count. But I don't see why it's a problem - we're voting for what we want based on the region we live in. Just like you are doing for yours)
