The 360 is selling a lot more than the PS3 in North America (this site's numbers and NPD's numbers prove that). Also the 360 is outselling the PS3 in Europe as a whole because of the lead it has in the UK. And although the PS3 is outselling the 360 in Japan it simply isn't doing well enough to make up for North America and Europe. The simple fact is the gap is widening every month between the 360 and the PS3 and developers can't help but notice it. |
This site numbers showed the X360 outselling the PS3 in Europe since mid-may .Since then the numbers have been revised and the X360 has only outsold the PS3 the last 2 weeks .And those ,too ,will change ,dont worry about that .This site continuously overtracks the X360 and has to do something about it later (as the usual changes in the frontpage show ) .Probably the difference in sales (some 80K last month ) in NA is higher that the amount the PS3 is outselling the X360 in Europe and Japan thats true .But PS3 is more or less holding its own and outselling the X360 in two of the 3 principal markets and that with a terrible software drought until the last days and with its huge pricepoint .The PS3 sales will pick up sometime ,and when they do your argument will prove shallow .A mere 25K weekly in Japan could shift all the WW numbers even if it didnt increase its sales a single unit in the other regions .
