Sony is still a very big company indeed (nowhere near what it was of course), but to use only revenue as a measure and to mention them in the same breath as MS, Samsung, IBM and yes even Intel (elsewhere in this thread) is a bit silly.

Nah. It's not silly at all. Well good enough as a response to the post is was made for. And WTF is wrong with using revenue as a measure? I realize that there are other metrics to use, but it's kind of an important one. You mention Intel. Sony had higher revenue than Intel in 2015. Feel free to make a proper rankings table if you have the time/inclination. I was making a quick response on VGC.
