I'm maybe two hours into the game now, and so far it looks really great, and plays pretty well too once you get the hang of it. Haven't played many other hack and slash games to compare how unique the gameplay is, but it reminded me a lot of Gravity Rush, with a far better fighting mechanic.
Not regretting the day one purchase one bit. If you like the anime/manga I think you'll enjoy it. If there's one gripe I have is that you feel too strong against the titans, which kind of takes away from the whole level of fear you get in the anime.
