Besides, how come you "never got the chance" to play it on the PS2? What amazing factor prevented you from buying it? I hear that all the time and I'm starting to think that people just neglected a good game.

The difference is, Okami on the PS2 got lost in the shuffle of hundreds of amazing games. It was easy to overlook it. On the Wii it's one of a few amazing titles so it's not as easy to ignore it now for those wanting a great gaming experience.

 

While it's true that Okami is "one of the amazing few" to grace the Wii, that does not mean Okami has an appealing factor to the mainstream gamers. In fact, I'm certain now that Okami never had any appeal to the regular gamers rather than "it got lost among the shuffle of the great PS2 library." Capcom can try again with a sequel and release it to every platform known but I doubt it will successful.
