I saw a reference (on some tech site) that iSupply was quoted as saying "The mf price is only $24 higher than the $300 mf price of the original X1". I don't think the mf price of the X1 is $300 to start with (though the mf cost of the X1 is considerably higher than the PS4), so gut feeling tells me $324 would somewhat be on the very high side.

Without at least seeing hires pictures of all things inside the box, my blunt guess would be in the $280 range for the Slim (redesigning the SoC was NOT cheap to redesign). This is also why I shake my head when people are "convinced" (particularly Gaf has some nutjobs) the PS4 Slim would be $199, even $249 I don't see.
