I hope that once they've fixed the performance issues and bugs the game has they come out and give some sort of roadmap for it's future development. They detail what they plan to add for free, then beyond that they can look at paid for DLC further down the line. If anything this mess will hopefully stress to them the importance of communication and messaging and being clear on the game going forward.
For me a refund doesn't make sense, I've put more than enough hours to justify the money I spent on it, I wasn't disappointed with it and am still playing it albeit not as frequently.
But that's just me personally, it makes sense for some people to refund because undoubtedly when new features are being added you will be able to pick up the game cheaper.
