I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it. It maintains the same angles and simply fillets the sharp corners of the original design. It loses maybe 20mm in width and depth and a fair amount on the height, which is nice for those who stack their consoles sideways.

The only thing it loses is the admittedly nice accent status light strip and the shiny HDD cover panel.

Interesting they took the most off the depth. That is beneficial for shallower shelves; I've kept a PS4 on a bookshelf for the past year.

If I remember correctly, the PS3 slim actually made the depth deeper than the original model despite getting a substantial height cut and width cut, which struck me as a bit odd. Never actually bought one. Had two of the original and one of the el cheapo super slims as an extra player.
