| Illusion said: You consider it humane because you assume that it will end the patient's suffering. In fact, you have no idea what comes after this life. Holding up euthanasia as a means to end suffering is total guess-work and euthanasia advocates selling this to patients without a shred of proof of what lies on the other side is wrong. I for one know that hell is real and I also know that the suffering there is far worse than anything in this life and I want to help as many people as possible avoid it. That is why I oppose euthanasia. For the record, I am a Catholic and I strongly oppose the death penalty, as well. |
And I know that hell is not real. I would imagine I am exactly as sure of this as you are of hell's existence. We both claim to know what happens after we die, but neither of us can prove it.
