Are Strategy/RPG's and RTS games hard to get into?

The RTS games start off easy, but grow to be quite difficult. The only one that is frustratingly difficult for me sometimes is Fire Emblem, because I like having my entire party alive, and that could require a lot of restarting.

Other than that, there is a learning curve, but its usually you sitting down, looking at the screen, thinking of a strategy. Real Time Strategies/RPGs aren't hard to get into, rather hard to get good at. You have to remember the pros and cons of several things in the game.
