Another new IP that's a shooter? No, they already have success in this genre, I'd say go for an action adventure title like Tomb Raider or Uncharted. There is a ton of things they cando to add to Splatoon to "keep it fresh"!
As for your #4, actually have made quite a number of new IP in the last 6 years. Xenoblade, Wonderful 101, Splatoon, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower.
A lot of great games on that list that they should take another crack at and get a series started.
