I don't own a DS4 yet, I'm just going by what others have told me (6-10hrs). I do own a Pro controller, and I can honestly say it lasts at least 50+hrs. I've owned it for 3yrs and only charged it 3-4 times -- I've never even seen the low battery warning. Nintendo rates it for 80hrs, and I'm actually inclined to believe them.

It is important to note that Nintendo's Pro Controller lacks the analog triggers, speaker, touch pad, and lights of the DS4. I've also been told the rumble is weak, but that hasn't been my experience.

I see... I don't like my DS4 battery life as much as I like the DS3... the DS4 can probably survive a full gaming weekend (12+h) but the DS3 would usually survive a whole week (so probably 30+h) I never measured any of them scientifically.

And if you have 50h on Pro Controller and only charged 4 times you use it very little =]

Ha, that's true. I prefer to play most 3D games with KB+M, so my Pro controller only sees periodic use.

12hrs on the DS4 may actually be almost enough for me. I'm pretty lazy about plugging in my wireless devices. I usually just plug them in once a week, if I can get away with it, so somewhere in the realm of 14-24hrs is ideal.
