The One Drop Rule is definitely not a factor here, law or otehrwise.  Nobody goes by that and you only even hear about it now in history books.  I personally haven't heard it in years until you mentioned it.

Sadly, that's our situation here.  We make protection laws that enumerate groups or circumstance (race, sex, age, religion, etc...) rather than just say "everybody".  And it's done a poor job of ensuring protection.  Further is the problem is that even if a law is in place, you can't make people feel differently.  It may be legally wrong for X to discriminate against Y but a lot of X's still say, do and act in negative ways toward Y's.

As for the last point, reparations and stuff like that...again, those are a very minor portion of minority groups making such demands.  They don't represent the group as a whole.  Keep in mind that BLM is not a single entity.  There is no leader, no organization behind it, no spokesperson, etc...it's simply a movement and anyone can say they are part of it and demand whatever.  There is an organization called Movement for Black Lives that is riding the waves of the BLM movement and they are demanding reparations.  In fact, there has always been a small group demanding reparations but they represent black people in the same way the KKK represents white people.....they don't.

Guess you haven't followed this NCAAP case them. But since the one drop rule is basically rubbish and in Brazil it's obnoxious since almost everyone have heritage from most of ethinical groups I won't fault you for that.

I understand your point on ridiculous law, but just to remember, laws are basically useless. Natural law when written is followed because it already was followed before, forced laws aren't followed because a piece of paper don't change people behaviour. Much like you can't make a law prohibiting people to be poor.

And on the reparations... I know it's a minor portion, but they are the most vocal, the ones that get more of the spotlight, the ones that twist things and get media support... and guess what, there have a lot of them heading those organizations for personnal gain. And that is why I ignore the minority movements, because they are a shelter for those guys, and you rarely will see anyone that identifies oneself in that minority being vocal against those vocal minorities while still part of the movement, they just play dumb.

No. The only place SJW have space to protest about what they think is wrong is places that are a lot better to live than the places those problems they say exist really do exist.
