It could indicate that only the smaller led will be active most fo the time, making the controller use less power. Probably the big led will only be activated when the controller needs to be tracked by the PS Camera.

Unfortunately, the video had quite a bit of external lightining, so it was hard to see the big led. If both lights are on all the time, it's more likely that the "new" led is just an opening that allows the light of the regular led to pass trough, so things would be the same.

It's rumoured to have a newer Bluetooth chip that could use less energy.

Mhmm I see. Hopefully that is the case. Both my xbox one and wiiU pro controller last a lot longer than the ps4 controller so I am hoping by the time I get the Neo, the controller will be revised with a great battery life.
