I don't own a DS4 yet, I'm just going by what others have told me (6-10hrs). I do own a Pro controller, and I can honestly say it lasts at least 50+hrs. I've owned it for 3yrs and only charged it 3-4 times -- I've never even seen the low battery warning. Nintendo rates it for 80hrs, and I'm actually inclined to believe them.
It is important to note that Nintendo's Pro Controller lacks the analog triggers, speaker, touch pad, and lights of the DS4. I've also been told the rumble is weak, but that hasn't been my experience.
