that's not impossible with a PC
But its annoying: You first have to connect the PC to the TV via VGA cable or whatever. Controlling the PC is an issue too. (Wireless mouse/keyboard?) When I connected my PC to the TV I had a white line at the bottom. In the end its a crappy solution, needs many workarounds and not many people do it. I tried it. A console just works.
It's funny because with the latest gen, there actually are a lot of games that have technical issues like pop-in, texture loading problems, not to mention lag in online games because of the limited online system.
Don't get me wrong I love my PC but I had far more problems with PC games than with the console games. And I mean thats not surprising. Console games have ONE hardware platform to test. For the online system that has gotten much better on consoles I think it can compete with PC now. But yes last gen it was crappy. But last gen consoles were pretty bad anyway: SD resolution, not enough sophisticated games with PC origin etc.
In the end Starcraft2 will make me regret buying a console but this gen consoles are a good alternative.
