It looks kind of cheap, but we're more or less expecting this to have an MSRP of $299.
it's possible that the low quality "spy" photos don't do the actual product justice, but we'll see.
The $599 PS3 looked and felt (heavy) a lot more expensive than the matte finish "slim" which in turn looked and felt more substantial than the final PS3 "slimmer" that quite frankly, felt like a cheap toy, sliding plastic door and all.
Personally, I thought the original PS4 looked (I should say felt) a little bit cheap, but that was a concession for a $399 console even though I did like the drastic angles of the form and the shiny HDD cover tray that contrasted with the matte finish of the rest of the unit. Functionally, it was relatively small and light although the angle on the rear makes it harder to plug in cables by feel and unnecessarily extends the depth of the case.
The new one looks like it will be a bit more practical in form in addition to being smaller and lighter.
