Well I dont think that the cost of entry is that high that nobody is able or willing to buy it. Its around 2000 Euro if you do not have a PC and 1000 if you have a PC. Many people are able to afford this ofcourse not the massmarket as the tech is just not there but I guess that 1-5 Million people are right now willing and able to pay this price in all western countries combined and thats enough to kickstart the technology. I really doubt that low income countries are going to play a driving force in that.
