The previous slim launches were only one SKU. The XB1 S is split between 4 different SKU's (2TB, Gears 2TB, Madden, and Halo). In total it would probably be placing in the Top 5 somewhere.

Plus people have had a long period of time to preorder. Sales for the console will be spread out over a few months.

Oh you're right.

Even though Xbox 360 Slim was number 1 for several months today's bigger preorder numbers definitely have an impact on rankings.
