1. It does have a larger install base technically because of windows gaming which is similar to xbox regarding architecture, api,os,service ect and Microsoft considers it an xbox pretty much.

Microsoft doesn't make cash on every game sold with Windows Gaming, if anything it's Valve that owns that userbase, not Microsoft.

I am really unhappy. I bought the Xbox One day one, the camera broke a day after the garantee expired, the controlet now only works wired. I think MS can brick acessories remotelly cause the bastards were very quick to try to sell me new ones when they broke.
And now they release a new console. Good for the people that do not have the big XBox One, but man, what a sucker I am.

Giggity, conspiracy theory.

Well, the only way for the controller to exhibit any kind of "update" you actually need it cabled, I have actually updated my controllers several times without issue.

Like all things though, everything man-made is prone to fail eventually.

With that said, Microsoft would suffer such excessive internet vitriol if they were found "sabotaging" hardware that is simply wouldn't be financially feasible for them to do it... And let's face it, lots of people are chipping away at the Xbox and finding all it's hidden secrets constantly.
