when you look at this list as well as the 'million sellers' Nintendo list you begin to realize they have released a decent amount of software on their own, its just its been divided between handheld/home console. If the NX really does integrate things into one library that will help attract consumers humongously
maybe also they need to work a little harder in quality software releases, I felt they were missing a strong 3D Mario this gen, no F Zero, no Metroid, no Pokemon console game (not really at least), not enough new IP.
They actually have a decent amount of variety when you glance at this list though
