That's cool--but if you go to a game hub, Xbox One compares EVERYTHING to your friends. His many times you died, how many miles you traveled, how many races you've won, how many missions you've completed--everything!

 

I compete against friends in ways they don't even expect.

That is cool but for whatever reason,  99% of the time someone brings achievements into the topics, it's about comparing gamerscore which makes me believe, that is the only thing they care due to being easy to get.   I don't feel like having high gamerscore is worth bragging about.
