Sony again targeting the 399$ price range, but just makeing sure they cram as much performance pr $ into the box as they can at that price, is a perfectly valid strategy.

A 599$ scorpio wont sell more units than the 399$ PS4 neo, imo.

Problem is that the masse don't care about power, they want what is affordable. The majority will probably take the PS4 normal route than the Neo which is still going to be pricey + I think it's probably going to cost a bit more than the PSVR tbh. 

More than $399? I doubt it. It's just a new GPU with an overclocked CPU and updated memory (if the rumors are true, which it seems they are).
