He's probably not far off from the truth.

I've said it many times ... your kids will laugh at you when you tell them you needed a shoebox size "video game console" that played games on plate sized shiny discs that needed to be purchased one at a time.

There will be a Playstation 5, but I have big doubts about a Playstation 6.

No, noone's kid is going to laugh at them for telling their kid about technology from their time, that's just a dumb statement. In fact, I'm sure they'll find that interesting and pretty cool. The parents of these kids will probably keep their consoles and their kids will actually get the chance to use these "shoebox size video game consoles that they will laugh at their parents for having used" Also, since you seem to agree that there will be a PS5, and since you seem to think that there won't be a PS6, we are looking at around 2033 or 2034 for the end of the PS5's production, so maybe in about 30 years we will have kids who have no idea what a video game console is or was, let alone laugh at that ever being a concept.

That is, of course, if Sony or Nintendo truly do decide to stop making video game consoles, because if they don't, and continue making them, then we're looking at around 2050 for the concept of dedicated hardware to be "laughable" according to children of people who used to play on said dedicated hardware. And that's only if Sony decides to not make a PS7.
