sooner or later XB1 hardware will be too outdated, and Devs will want to move on. at that time MS will release xbox scorpio 2 (or whatever). and thats your new generation. scorpio would be the low end device, scorpio 2 will be the high end. until scorpio 3 releases and repeats the cycle.
this "no generations" anymore talk is nonsensical to me. because the concept behind gens in console gaming is based on updating hardware. sure, the method of updating hardware might be different. but the core concept remains the same. sooner or later the XB1 will be obsolete, there is no way around that.
