Ok. Well, i mostly do that aswell.
What i do now is be very selective on what i get and get only that wich i know i will enjoy. I still make some mistakes as some series change and i might not enjoy the change, but it's been getting pretty spot on. To be fair i should do what you do more often. It usually depends on how much funds i got.
For example, i recently upgraded my PC and that means i am not willing to spend much money on console games for a while. I'm getting Deus Ex and AA6, but thats about it for the rest of the year. I'm still pondering FFXV or world of FF, but i'm gonna wait forreviews.
Also, that strategy doesn't work very well with Nintendo games. They are more likely to run out of stock than drop price.
