The more I play it, the more I like some things and the more boring the game play gets. Flying over a new planet is awesome, finding the exact same structures on every planet is not.
I'm looking for a new ship again. The one I have now has some lovely support struts always in view narrowing the fov even further, doh. For now it's still fun to find out more about the 3 species and the cookie crumb trail the game lays out. Yet damn those space pirates, you might as well hit reload until you upgrade your ship (and sacrifice cargo space). And some planets have some very angry animals, jet pack back to the ship. Taking on 5 sentinels no problem, one angry critter, run!
It's all good again when you take off and fly into the sunset over an alien landscape. The exploration itch is well catered to, there's just not much of the unexpected to find.
