I lost my last job back in June and I was both disappointed and happy about it. Mostly due to the shittiest colleagues one could imagine. Well, as of next Monday I'm back in a new job. Featuring:

Same work environment though about half as small

Same daily tasks

Same pay

Waaaaaaaay nicer colleagues

An hour less away from home

It's in internal IT again though I did have another opportunity. I basically had the questionable to decide my entire path for the next 5 years within one week. I had to decide between a stable job with decent pay vs a career path in consulting with likely a lot better pay in the future. It was a really hard decision since I love my job and I always want to develop my skills even further, a thing I will most likely not achieve in the job I chose. That however was the only downside compared to the many downsides of a consulting job, so I picked the 100% safe option. I may regret it in a few years but I can't really blame myself since the decision was just that hard.

Anyway, I can now start planning again what I'm gonna do with my surplus income from the coming months. New PC here I come!

Anyone else had a really hard job decision to make like this?
