At QuakeCon last weekend, id Software game director Marty Stratton surprised the audience with news that Doom’s new multiplayer DLC, Unto the Evil, would be available to buy that same day. The DLC contains two new modes: capture the flag and advance-and-control. It also has three new maps, a new playable demon, and a new weapon, among other fixes and changes.
YOU CAN WRITE STUFF THAT MIGHT APPEAR IN THE SPIRITUAL SEQUEL TO MANIAC MANSION
http://www.pcgamer.com/thimbleweed-park-devs-want-you-to-write-them-a-book/
Last summer, Thimbleweed Park co-creator Ron Gilbert invited fans to suggest titles for the nearly 300 books in the game's Occult Bookstore. “I'm a big fan of the Tom Sawyer school of game design. Why paint that fence if you can get all your friends to paint it for you, or in this case, name all those books?” he said at the time. Smart thinking, and apparently it worked out pretty well, because he's doing it again—but this time, you actually get to write a little story.
LICHTSPEER TRAILER REVEALS PENGUIN VIKINGS, WURST ZOMBIES, AND DAS WALRUS
http://www.pcgamer.com/lichtspeer-trailer-reveals-penguin-vikings-wurst-zombies-and-das-walrus/
It's not often that I get excited about a game almost entirely because of its debut trailer. But it's not often I see a trailer like the one released today for Lichtspeer, an “ancient Germanic lightspear-throwing simulator from the future” that's set to come out next month.

NO MAN'S SKY WILL BE PATCHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE TO ADDRESS LAUNCH CONCERNS
http://www.pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-will-be-patched-in-the-near-future-to-address-launch-concerns/
Given the scale of the game, it's no surprise that No Man's Sky has some teething issues. Players have reported a host of problems ranging inaccessible ships (annoying) through to broken games (infuriating), but Hello Games' Sean Murray has issued a statement regarding the studio's support plans, while assuring that a new patch is imminent.
REIGNS IS A FUN MEDIEVAL MONARCHY MANAGEMENT SIM, OUT NOW
http://www.pcgamer.com/reigns-is-a-fun-medieval-monarchy-management-sim-out-now/
“It's like Tinder for Aristocrats and power hungry zealots,” reads one Steam user’s review of Nerial and Devolver Digital’s Reigns—a kingdom management game where success is hinged on apt decision making and sheer luck. That’s probably the best way to describe it to be honest, but if you’ve never experienced this particular form of mobile dating (or haven’t at least peered over a mate’s shoulder to understand how it works), let the following launch trailer give you a better idea.
THE SHATTERING IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR GAME FROM THE LORDS OF THE FALLEN DEVS

ords of the Fallen studio Deck13 is working on The Surge—an upcoming RPG that teases "a very grim vision of the future”—however today announced its next project: psychological horror affair The Shattering. Partnering with debut developer SuperSexySoftware, the game aims to “bring back true horror” as it explores its protagonist’s mind and psyche in the aftermath of tragic events.
SOUTH PARK: THE FRACTURED BUT WHOLE DEMOS NOSE-MOUNTED NOSULUS RIFT
http://www.pcgamer.com/south-park-the-fractured-but-whole-demos-nose-mounted-nosulus-rift/
Success in 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth, those of you who played will recall, was hinged upon your ability to make friends, master RPG-lite systems, and dispense with earthquake-evoking farts.
From what we learned so far of follow-up South Park: The Fractured But Whole, it’s to deliver more of the same however the intervening period has also seen the rise of virtual reality. As such, Ubisoft has apparently developed the Nosulus Rift—a “fully-immersive” nose-mounted device which allows you to properly “experience the power of the new kid.”
And that's it for the week. Just let me tell you that over at Steam you can play Goat Simulator for free this weekend (and has a 75% off if you like it), and that thie weekend's publisher deal is Kalypso. And if you aren't interested in them, maybe GOG will have something for you, with a failry long list of games showing a 75% off deal.
Whatever you do, I hope you have a fun and gaming weekend.
Please excuse my bad English.
