Some of my never existing threads (apart from a MotoGP one that I think about doing every year, but I never do because I tried it once and was a complete failure) are the following (from older to newer):
1-An AMD & Nvidia thread. Last year, after SubiyaCryolite's thread about Zen & AMD's 3xx series, I thought about making a thread about the new graphic cards from Nvidia's Pascal and AMD's Artic Islands, as they were called back then before the change to Polaris. I even thought about how to make it, with the first post explaining what the thread was about and the second and third post dedicated to AMD and Nvidia respectively, showing the confirmed info and table with the rumored specs.
What stopped me from doing the thread was that back then I was kind of tired of the site and I didn't know if I would came back the next day, so I decided against it as I didn't want to create the thread and leave it unfinished.
In the end, and after zarx's departure, I started posting the gaming news on his PC thread, and I used that thread to post the new rumors/leaks that came about them.
2-A PC buyer's guide. Kind of.
Late last year, in part because of zero129's thread about building a $500 Gaming PC For Fallout 4 And GTA V, I noticed that there were more people interested in PC gaming than before, and I started wondering about why not making a thread for those that wanted to try PC gaming but didn't know where to start.
The idea was to work with three different price points (Low-Mid-High end specs) with everything included except a gamepad and a monitor (because you can play using keyboard&Mouse and you can use a TV if you don't have a PC monitor) with some alternatives for some key components, plus guides and advises about how to build a PC from the ground.
Of course, I'm not so selfish to believe that I know more than the rest and that the PC designs I could come up with where the better options, so I turned for help and ideas to the guys at zarx's PC thread. Together, we decided to work with USD, Pounds and Euros, and that the three price points would be:
Low: 700 $/€ - £500
Mid: 1,000 $/€ - £700
High: 1,300$/€ - £900
Unfortunately, and it was my mistake, we started working on the project when it was too late, and we couldn't make it on time for X-mas, which was our goal.
It was a shame, but also a blessing because while there are more people interested in PC gaming, the are also more people that attack everything that they consider a threat to console gaming, so all the project could have ended being a mess.
Off-Topic: Man, why did it took you so long to make this thread? We talked about it back in March!.
Please excuse my bad English.
