Do I really need to say it?

Hint: the name is hidden in my sig

the thing is Iron Man 1 is an absolutely amazing film but Iron Man 2/3 are pretty terrible (especially 3, what the hell was the scriptwriter thinking, is like the absense of a real plot with Tony walking around for half of the film contemplating shit)

first of all Iron Man 3 is awesome.  A character study with one of the best twists in blockbusters in years.  Hell even if you hated it, it dispels the myth that Marvel movies are formulaic or predictable.  I mean when was the last time a movie had a completely shocking twist that actually fed the narrative and fit the story perfectly and was not revealed or hinted at in trailers?  The only serious knock I have on it is Guy Pearce making people not like the twist because he sucked as the main villain and was just god awful when saying "I am the mandarin!"  Operation House Party is one of the coolest moments I've ever had at the theater.  Like everyone I watch it with the first time has the same reaction.  They try to predict which Iron Man suit is coming then like 40 show up and jaws hit the floor and fist pumping nerdgasms commence

Iron Man 2 is awful

Sequels don't effect the greatness of a singular film.  If so the Dark Knight Rises ruins Dark Knight's legacy and Spider-Man 3 ruins Spider-Man 2's legacy which I don't believe is true

Also Iron Man appeared in Avengers, Age of Ultron, and Civil War in fairly significant parts.  So I would factor those into his role as well.  All these films explore his character and how it evolved.  In Avengers 1 he disproves steve's claim about not being the guy to lay on the wire at the end when he flies the nuke into the hole.  In Ultron he and Banner unwittingly cause disaster then make up for it with Vision.  In Civil War he makes Cap look like the bad guy (appearances are not deceiving in this instance) in his own film.

I am Iron Man
