That's not what happened, though. The problem is that: 1. His was the very first and only review and a negative one. Something that clickbait sites tend to do. 2. He released his review for such a massive game so early while every other reviewer is trying to take their time with the game. 3. His review is used for ammunition against the game and it's actually affecting people's perception of it. It could hurt sales considerably seeing how much reviews/negative opinions hurt a legendary series such as Street Fighter. Reviewers have more power than people care to admit. It goes without saying that he is entitled to his opinion as is eveyone else who doesn't like him or agree with him and his methods. Taking his site down, though, is going too far and is criminal, as far as I know. |
That would makes sense that his review is the 1st and is posted on a central or various review sites on the game. Though, I didn't expect to get attacked like that. It also makes sense if people use his review to show the more negative aspects of the game, although unlike other user who score it lower to hurt the game, Jim Sterling's reviews hold more weight to them, critiziting games for their faults rather than needlessly hurting them, and I think his thoughts on the game hold weight, whether he played it as long as other reviewers, or just enough to get an idea of the game.
