That's not what happened, though. The problem is that:

1. His was the very first and only review and a negative one. Something that clickbait sites tend to do.

2. He released his review for such a massive game so early while every other reviewer is trying to take their time with the game.

3. His review is used for ammunition against the game and it's actually affecting people's perception of it. It could hurt sales considerably seeing how much reviews/negative opinions hurt a legendary series such as Street Fighter. Reviewers have more power than people care to admit.

It goes without saying that he is entitled to his opinion as is eveyone else who doesn't like him or agree with him and his methods. Taking his site down, though, is going too far and is criminal, as far as I know.

Doubt they have much influence these days. Twitch makes their work pretty much useless because it's very easy for people to judge by themselves just by watching a couple of streamers. It's a dying profession and the few who a still clinging to it are fighting for every attention they can get.

This review alone shows just how relevant reviews still are. I've visited several sites and they keep bringing up metacritic to atatck the game. This surely influences others ("I heard it's a shit game"). The same thing happened with The Order and plenty of other games. Yes, streamers also influence the masses but reviewers are pretty fucking relevant whether people want to admit it or not.
