Sony has to start making money on the PS3 so I don't see a price cut in 2008.
I think this last quarter was a bit of a shock to them. The PSP is doing well (especially in Japan), the PS2 can't last forever (but right now, it's still a moneymaker for Sony), and they still turned a loss.
If Sony is ever going to profit from the PS3, they need to stop the bleeding. The best way to do that is a die shrink on the PS3 and no price cuts this year.
