Even assuming all communities are equally toxic, there's no reason not to aspire for a more educated and inclusive video game community. We shouldn't tolerate this immature bullying, no matter the medium.

What does that mean, exactly? What do you suggest we do? And will that have any effect on the way the video game community behaves?

This sounds like "thoughts and prayers" on facebook. They achieve nothing.

I say the less attention we pay to them, the better.
