I don't know. PC games are cheaper and for many games mouse and keyboard simply is by far the best input method (FPS, RTS, Strategy). So if I had a gaming PC I would buy games in these categories for the PC.
But games that are played better with a controller like Action-Adventures, Platformers, racing ....
here consoles have some undeniable advantages:
You sit on the couch.
You play on a nice big-screen TV with good soundsystem.
Everthing is easier to startup and there are less glitches and bugs.
And since most games are technically at least even on consoles as on PC these advantages really dominate.
But in the end I made my decision for a console because I didn't want to shell out for a gaming PC so the question doesn't really arise.
