I have to admit that No Man's Sky's success these last few months is surprising to me. The game I bought and have played for about 3 hours is basically what I expected, a sci-fi explorer that is more about scale and discovery than any sort of twitch action or meeting up with friends or anything that is usually popular.

I'm not surprised it's a polarizing game, and I suspect it's only going to get more so as reviews role in (I'm expecting wildly differing scores for the game) I'm just a bit surprised that it's become as big a deal as it has. I think some are going to love it, and some are going to absolutely hate it (including a bunch of people that haven't played the game and just want to crap on it for some reason or another). As for me, I'm intrigued by it so far, even if the first hour was a total slog. Once I got my spaceship up and running, though, it's gotten really interesting.

Just a fun fact, I sometimes look at the number of likes games receive when looking at their icons on my PS4. As of an hour ago, NMS had 69.7 thousand likes, more than Dark Soul's 3 or Ratchet & Clank. Obviously it's not a great indicator of sales, but considering that you have to purchase the game to register a like, the game seems to have had a very good first day.

Why are there no reviews at all ? The game launched yesterday. The only review that they had is  from a site that I don't know called "The Jimquisition" It gave a 50/100 for the game, I think that it is a troll review like the one Uncharted had.
