What do you mean by that?

Many people tend to make racist/sexist/asshole comments and back it up with, "some of my friends are (blank)"

 

Example:

Mike: Damn, most black people just go around raping and killing people

Jim: The hell Mike? No offense, but that's prejudiced.

Mike: What? nah. I have a bunch of black friends dude. Even my manager is black. How can I possibly be prejudiced towards blacks?

 

 

yes, not all conversations go like that, but it provides a general example.
