I was gonna get No Man's Sky today depending on the reviews, but now I won't, especially seeing the user score on MC. But I'm looking for some opinions on the game from more credible places.

You shouldnt let user critics discourage you from purchasing a game. For an example , many people have said FFXIII was downright horrible and unplayable (in the form of not fun, etc) - but I played it and enjoyed it despite icy cold reviews.
