Ever since the original leaks for the PS4: Neo were released I have been impatiently waiting to hear more about it. I was, at the time, planning on buying a PS4 on the release day for Uncharted 4.  The news of a newer high-spec machine coming out that would allow games that previously ran at 30fps to run at 60fps made me hold on my purchase and wait.

Rumors said it would be revealed at E3 but as we all know, Sony decided not to reveal the Neo at that time and even made a statement that they were doing so to focus entirely on games. After that, there has been nothing but silence from Sony with regards to the NEO. There was been a "leak" for an internal presentation that offered no new or relative information on the Neo. Twice now I have almost given up on waiting for new information and almost bit the bullet by buying the Uncharted 4 Special Edition PS4 bundle. But now there is newsrumors that there will be a reveal for the Neo on Sept 7th.

Here is a quote from IGN on their article about the possible reveal and the link to the article

"Multiple reports have emerged indicating that Sony will reveal its PS4 Neo console at a "technical showcase" in New York on September 7.

The much-discussed mid-generation upgrade was confirmed before E3, but Sony decided to hold off on an official unveiling.

Now, both Gameblog and Vice Gaming have reported that anonymous sources inform them that the showcase will act as an official reveal - although Vice explains that as recently as a few weeks ago, Sony was still deciding what exactly will be shown."

Here is a uqote from Vice Gaming indicating that they have heard from multiple soruces that this is going to happen.

"Sony will reveal the first details on an upgraded PlayStation 4 at a September 7 event in New York, French gaming website Gameblog reported today. VICE Gaming can confirm that it's heard the same information from multiple sources familiar with the planned rollout for the new machine. These sources chose to remain anonymous because they are not authorized to speak publicly about Sony's plans."

So, what do you think? Will the Neo be revealed on Sept 7th, or is this just another carrot for us to chase?
