She HAD a voice.  The real traged is that Retro chickened out of giving Samus even text and for some bizarre reason made her a 100% silent protagonist and thus the only "big entry" voice is tied to Other M when we COULD have had 3 other games' worth that would drown out that rubish.

But Nintendo itself very much pretends Other M barely exists if at all, they don't even think of it as an option for moving the series forward.  So yeah, I am perfectly fine ignoring it.  Especially since most people have forgotten it completely while Prime 1 to 3 are remembered very well.

I actually think having Samus silent worked really well in the Prime games. One of the core strengths of the trilogy is its atmosphere and sense of isolation. Having Samus talk would have detracted from that in my opinion.

Isolation is not necessarily enhanced by silence or broken by speech.  I absolutely, 1000% think that having internal monolgues like what we had in Fusion could have worked and enhanced the story.  Fusion, imo, has a better story and greater sense of tension than any of the Prime games.  That's not to say they are worse games, the Prime games are better overall.  But The use of monologues and on occassion dialogues in Fusion didn't damage the sense of atmosphere or tension because of how they were handled.  Having them done the same way in Prime would have been perfect.  Especially since in ALL OF THE PRIME'S there are other NPCs who talk *to you* but you don't speak back because REASONS.  How does that enhance anything?  It doesn't.
