It's Norwegian, not Swedish, and Lilyhammer wouldn't have existed without the Sopranos anyway. The whole show screams "Let's transfer a Silvio Dante-like mobster - played by the the same, beloved star - to Northern Europe". Steven Van Zandt was already a worldwide star for decades before the Sopranos (he's the guitarist of Springsteen's E-Street Band since the mid 1970s). Van Zandt co-produced, co-wrote and scored Lilyhammer. The whole show is a mildly entertaining star vehicle which doesn't hold a candle to the Sopranos.
