I actually watched Lillyhammer :)

Its not as good as the sopranos but its quite fun.

Im surprised anyone here even knows of it, since its a small budget swedish produced tv series.

It was a nice change seeing how a guy starts his business from scratch and how he deals with cultural barriers etc being away from home.

It's Norwegian, not Swedish, and Lilyhammer wouldn't have existed without the Sopranos anyway. The whole show screams "Let's transfer a Silvio Dante-like mobster - played by the the same, beloved star - to Northern Europe". Steven Van Zandt was already a worldwide star for decades before the Sopranos (he's the guitarist of Springsteen's E-Street Band since the mid 1970s). Van Zandt co-produced, co-wrote and scored Lilyhammer. The whole show is a mildly entertaining star vehicle which doesn't hold a candle to the Sopranos.
