That said PSVR isn't as expensive as the HTC Vive so if course the cheapest product is going to get the most talk or buzz, those that care for high end will talk about that side as well.

If there is a war I'm not sure I understand your perspective of someone speaking on this guys comments as being the person who restarts these wars.  Wouldn't the starter be the person who first made the comments?
