I had the possibilty to try a bit VR over the last years (being a student of game design has quite some perks) and while its without a soubt impressive, I personally feel that it isnt world changing yet. My guess is that it will turn out similar as how the Wii and Motion controls turned out:
In the first years EVERYONE needs it and every game need it and its everywhere.
Then it loses the novelty, people get bored and start getting annoyed of all the shoehorned in VR.
In the end it becomes a temporary niche-market until the next big leap in technology happens and we get one step further to perfect immersion ala sword art online/matrix etc.

But thats just my take on it.

Being bound to the PS4 and her (compared to gaming PCs) lower power, yes, the PSVR could likely become the Wii of VR. Also for those complaining about the confusing price with no camera or controllers included, theres a pretty nice bundle for that as far as I know.
