10 year lifespan for PS3 and every other PS console has been constantly maintained An overlap with PS console lifespans has occurred again and again. PS2 and PS3 were introduced during the seventh year of the predecessor's lifespan.
PS1 = 1994
PS2 = 2000
PS3 = 2006
Every six years a new PS console on market
PS4 = 2012?
PS5 = 2018?
and so on. lol.
NES = 1983
SNES = 1991
N64= 1996
Game Cube = 2001
Wii = 2006
New Nintendo = 2013? (Delayed due to success of Wii)
XBox = 2001
XBox 360 = 2005
New XBox = 2011?
