If America forced immigrants to totally adopt our lifestyle would they still come here?

Im pretty sure theres a huge fraction of americans who don't share that kind of "lifestyle", how are you gonna impose it on others? Not to mention how that goes against basic human and constitutional rights. But yeah, in the land of make-believe I suppose not, that would not be appealing to anyone.
