Eidos Montreal released a pile of new concept art for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided today, designed to showcase the appearance of "some of the major cities around the globe" in the game's unhappy near-future. The gallery includes shots of Barcelona, Berlin, Cologne, London, Paris, Rio, and several others, but it's the Moscow image which has caused controversy. Specifically, the presence in it of an "Augs Lives Matter" banner held by protesters.

 

OVERWATCH UPDATE ADDS LÚCIOBALL GAME MODE AND "SUMMER GAMES" GOODIES

Blizzard just released a surprise Summer Games 2016 update for Overwatch that adds a new game mode and a host of Olympic-themed treats. Lúcioball is a new 3-on-3 brawl reminiscent of Rocket League where everyone plays as Lúcio in a soccer-like match, attempting to “score goals, make saves, and lead your team to victory.” Not wanting to leave the other heroes out, new skins, highlight intros, victory poses, and more are available via special Summer Games 2016 loot boxes, which you can only pick up between August 2nd to the 23rd.

 

GTA ONLINE GETS A TRACK EDITOR FOR ITS CUNNING STUNTS MODE

Long the domain of mods, stunt racing in GTA Online became easier and more official last month with the rollout of the Cunning Stunts update. This introduced racing circuits with loop-de-loops, boost pads and tubes, turning the sky above Los Santos into a labyrinthine (and very dangerous) racing playground.

 

NEW LAWBREAKERS VIDEOS FOCUS ON THE ROCKET-WIELDING TITAN

Boss Key is holding the final alpha test for LawBreakers this weekend, and judging by the two videos the studio released today, it really wants you to try the Titan class. Represented by Bomchelle on the Law side and Cronos on the Breakers side, both characters wield a rocket launcher which can be niftily shot over your shoulder without moving the crosshair, as well as a close-range electrical weapon.

Sea of Thieves is Rare’s upcoming seafaring pirate sandbox that’s due to launch/dock next year. Similar to the studio’s back catalogue of games, this ‘un boasts some typically easy-on-the-eye cartoon-like visuals—a sizeable chunk of which was showcased at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

 

CHAOTIC KITCHEN SIMULATOR OVERCOOKED OUT NOW, SERVES UP LAUNCH TRAILER

Perhaps the biggest challenge of Ghost Town Games and Team 17’s Overcooked is reaching the end of any given level without having set the kitchen on fire. I speak from experience, having watched pretty much every in-game kitchenscape I’ve graced go up in flames—a problem which others appear to have struggled with too. The best thing about it is this is part of the fun.
