You know now that I;m seeing both sides of the coin, I;m starting to see this all over again as the whole "you should definitely be driving at your age" kind of debate that I see from friends and family.

I don't drive because of how small the island I reside on is, but I also don't have the kind of job that requires one either, in fact a lot of people on my island use public transport as well as their own via bikes, walking, scooters etc. There are still enough that drive their own car but it's not that much of a thing that you *have* to drive. I;ve always seen that argument based from those that do drive rather than those that don't, some base it on being more of an "adult" like you are maturing for simply adopting a different mode of transport and to me that seems both skewed and narrow minded for a pro type of argument.

I've no interest in driving due to the costs that come with it along with the taxes on top and myself not wanting to use one as often as I;d think I would. I've gotten by using my own two feet, my bicycle and the average bus to any place I want to go to around the island. I've also had those options when I visited Orlando plenty of times and it still hasn't bothered me.

That said I don't mind those living with their folks either and like some have already said, it's a change in culture and times as well as economy, some may see it as being weak or childish but at the end of the day you are going to need someone to take care of you, may as well be your own flesh and blood than someone who doesn't give a rats ass about you at a gloomy retirement home that you don't actually own yourself as well as a place you'll die in no doubt (some don't always go to one but quite a lot do end up in said homes).
