And the second part:
ATLAS REACTOR, TRION'S TURN-BASED TACTICAL COMBAT GAME, IS ADDING A "FREE MODE"
http://www.pcgamer.com/atlas-reactor-trions-turn-based-tactical-combat-game-is-adding-a-free-mode/
Atlas Reactor, the online tactical combat game that we described back in April as Overwatch meets XCOM (but neither of those things) was originally announced as a free-to-play game. But following an open alpha and a couple of weeks of closed beta testing, Trion Worlds announced that it was switching to an exciting new system of monetization called “buy-to-play,” in which players pay a single, up-front sum of money, and are then granted unlimited access to the full game.
THE HTC VIVE JUST GOT MORE EXPENSIVE IN THE UK

One of the outcomes of the historic Brexit vote that began the process of taking the UK out of the EU was the imposition of higher prices for computer hardware. As we reported last month, Dell jacked its prices by ten percent to compensate for the cratered value of the pound sterling, while HP and Lenovo were reportedly considering similar moves. Today there was more bad news, as HTC announced that the price of the Vive VR headset has jumped from £689 to £759.
THE LATEST OVERWATCH BANWAVE INSPIRES TEARS, THREATS, AND HILARITY

Another banwave swept the world of Overwatch this weekend, driving the clenched fist of digital justice into the grinning chops of those who would take advantage of exploits and scripts. The crackdown led to two very positive outcomes: One, the game is now cleaner, even if only a little bit, thanks to the reduced number of cheaters; and two, their tears, deliciously cried out onto the Ownedcore forums (via Battle.net), are so, so sweet.
SLAIN! IS REBORN FOLLOWING A POORLY RECEIVED LAUNCH
http://www.pcgamer.com/slain-is-reborn-following-a-poorly-received-launch/
Slain! attracted quite a bit of attention in the lead up to its launch, and rightly so: in motion it looked really cool. The hard-as-nails, 16 bit-inspired sidescroller looked like a death metal album cover come to life, and the soundtrack sounded the part too, composed as it was by a former member of cult band Celtic Frost.
NO TRACE IS HITMAN MEETS HOTLINE MIAMI, OUT THIS YEAR

No Trace, the debut project from British development studio Square Mountain, is a top-down stealth/assassination game that draws inspiration from many places. At first glance, the Hitman series and Hotline Miami are obvious influences, but with a longer look you might get vibes of Volume and Bullfrog’s 1993 classic Syndicate too.
BIG ROBOT’S NEXT GAME IS THE SIGNAL FROM TÖLVA
http://www.pcgamer.com/big-robots-next-game-is-the-signal-from-tlva/
Big Robot—the team behind atmospheric survival-stealth endeavour Sir, You Are Being Hunted—has revealed its latest project: The Signal From Tölva.
Billed as a “single-player first-person exploration and combat game”, The Signal From Tölva is set among the ruins of an ancient civilisation—a setting that’s been crafted by hand, unlike the procedurally generated landscapes of its forerunner.
